Tipping, of course, is at your own discretion. Gratuities are accepted as an expression of your overall satisfaction fo a job well done, but are not an obligation

                                         Insurance

Legacy Moving and Storage offers two different insurance options for our customers. A representative will explain these otions to you in detail prior to the start of your move.

Standard Insurance

All licensed moving companies are required to provide this type of insurance to their customers fre of charge. Our maximum leagal labilityis sixty cents per pound per item. This kind of coverage can be inadequate for some moves. Our policy is that standard insurance is to cover furniture for minor damage such as scratches and nicks for repair, even if the repair exceeds the legal coverage by 100%.

Full Replacement Value

If not covered by your homeowners policy, we will provide it throughour carrier at a greater level of protection based on the cumulative value of the entire shipment on the day of the move. The total value covers the lesser of reasonable restoring the property to it’s condition immediately befre the move.

For artwork and antiques it is advisible to submit an appraisal to our office prior to the move. In the even there is need to filea claim and we do not have your appraisal on file, the insurance adjuster’s appraisal will probably be binding

Items not covered by any type of insurance

• The contents of boxes packed by the customer cannot be insured for damage.

• Plants and any trees.

• Items such as paintings, sculptures, glass, mirrors, marble ect. Can sometimes only be insuredwhen packed in wooden crates by Legacy Moving and Storage. Your representative will determine if crating is necessary.

• Claims cannot be made for functioning or internal damage to electronics and mechanical items unless there is visible damage to the exterior of the item

• Items made from of pressboard, particle board or other composite materials can only be insured for repair, not replacement.

• Items of exceptional value such as jewelry, precious stones, coin and stamp collections, currency, deeds, notes, securities, stocks or an other srticles of special or unusual value should be moved by you and cannot be covered under mover’s insurance.
